Features:
Veneer: Exposed surfaces are number one select cherry,
walnut or maple veneers. Drawer fronts are matched in sets to assure proper
grain balance. Select straight and close grain patterns are used overall
to maintain consistency between individual units
Worksurfaces: Worksurfaces feature 1 -3/16" thick tops
utilizing 5-ply construction. Primary worksurfaces are profiled on approach
and user sides; secondary worksurfaces are profiled on user side only.
Connecting worksurfaces are reverse coped for a flush fit. Available in
two edge options Bevel and Reed. High pressure laminate worksurfaces are
3-ply construction with .050 thickness for high impact resistance
File Drawers: All executive file drawers accommodate letter,
legal, or EDP filing and letter-size double file capabilities. Filing
hardware is plated to prevent corrosion.
Drawer Construction: Drawer fronts utilize French dovetail
construction for maximum strength. 7/16" thick unidirectional plywood
drawer sides and backs are assembled using box joint construction. Drawers
feature 1/4" thick drawer bottoms. Drawer interiors are sanded and finished.
Drawer suspension: High quality drawer suspensions carry
a lifetime warranty. Box and file drawers are full extension. All suspension
systems feature positive and cushioned in/out stops, steel ball bearings,
and a bright electro-plated finish to ensure a smooth ride.
Locking: Central locking secures all drawers with the
turn of a single key. Modular pedestals feature single pedestal locks.
All units ship keyed alike. Removable lock cores allow for rekeying.
Assembly: Units feature tenon-and-groove case construction
and mortise-and-tenon pedestal construction for ultimate stability. Pedestals
are constructed with lock mitre joints for added strength and corners
have no visible break in veneers as it wraps around the desk front and
sides. Structural joints are secured by 16-gauge steel angle brackets
and wood glue blocks. Adjustable levelers feature insert nuts to prevent
glide tear out.
