Neutral Posture 9000 Series Chairs

Ergonomists agree on the necessity of an adjustable headrest for reclined tasks such as prolonged reading, viewing multiple monitors, interviews, or talking on the phone. Without a supportive headrest, static loading of the neck and shoulder muscles occurs, which can lead to headaches and even back pain. Static loading is what happens when the muscles of the neck are forced to support the weight of the head (approximately 10 lbs.) on their own without a soft, adjustable headrest to help reduce the pressures on those muscles.

In addition to the standard Neutral Posture adjustments, all 9000 Series models are standard with a two-way adjustable headrest, which adjusts for height and depth to fit each individual user's unique shape and size.
