The Herkimer, NY German Street facility was erected by The Horracks Desk Co. prior to 1900. During September 1907, Mr. F.E. Hale, a designer of sectional bookcases purchased the facility of Horracks Desk, incorporated the company and bookcase manufacturing started. Mr. Hale retired in 1918. F.E. Hale Manufacturing was formed to exclusively produce and market the sectional bookcase. 300 Series Hale Standard Depth Barrister Bookcases

300 Sectional Barrister Series From Hale Options

Made from solid Oak, Birch or Walnut lumber, custom-dried in Hale's own kilns, the 300 series has the classical look of fine furniture with the durability of solid wood construction.

The receding door on the 300 sectional comes standard with a lacquered bronze knob and is equipped with a equalizer to keep the door from binding and allow for one-hand operation. In situations where books or materials are continually referred to, receding door sections are preferred for their complete shelf access while offering dust protection when not in use. The interlocking design of the 300 sectional gives the customer the ability to choose the combination of 12"H or 14"H sectionals needed while having the option of easily adding more units later as their office or library grows.
