Allseating Fluid Chair Designer: Miles Keller
Miles Keller graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1988 where he majored in industrial design. He also studied architecture at the University of British Columbia as well as receiving a BA in general studies from the University of Calgary in 1981. After graduating from OCA, Miles worked for several Toronto industrial design firms before co-founding Kerr Keller Design in 1989 with Helen Kerr. Miles' work with an international client base, including Corning Consumer Products, Dansk, Keilhauer Furniture, Palazetti, Nienkamper, Umbra and The Getty Museum, quickly established Kerr Keller Design as one of the top industrial design firms in Canada.
In 1997 Miles started Carbon Design, an industrial design firm active almost exclusively in the highly specialized field of ergonomic seating. Working independently in his studio in Toronto, Miles produces everything from initial concepts to award winning computer modelling. He is the past president of the Association of Chartered Industrial Designers of Ontario (ACIDO), a position he held for four years. In addition, Miles has been very active in the design community, serving on the board of the Financial Post Design Effectiveness Awards as well as the Humane Village International Design Conference.
Miles' work has received numerous international design awards including an ID Magazine Annual Design Review selection in 1988, and Virtu/Directions in Canadian Design in 1987, 89, 90, 91, 92, 94 and 1996, Best of Canada, and IIDEX 1998 & 99. His work has been featured in a wider variety of publications such as Applied Arts, Azure, ID Magazine, Product Design, Graphis, and the International Design Yearbook.
His designs have brought ALLSEATING CORPORATION many national and international design awards and firmly positioned the company as one of the leaders in a very competitive market. In 1999, Miles' Os™ stacking chair for allseating was awarded a Good Design Award, sponsored by The Chicago Antheneum. Good Design is one of the oldest and most prestigious design award programs in the world.
Reviews:

Allseating Vector(Os) Command Chair
Sit in the driver's seat at your PC.
Sink into the lusciously soft leather of Allseating's Vector Command Chair, and you'll think you're behind the wheel of a luxury sports car. But its inspired ergonomic design provides glorious comfort for the desk-bound.
Gracefully engineered with a solid cast-aluminum frame, the Vector has precise controls for height, tilt, and knee-tilt. A knob under the seat adjusts the chair's tension based on your weight, which makes shifting positions remarkably fluid. Available in either black or green leather, this five-wheel executive cruiser looks good in both traditional and modern surroundings.
It's not cheap, but consider how many hours you sit behind a desk. The most important piece of furniture in your office is likely the one you sit in, so you might as well sit pretty.
